FINAL ESSAY

I selected each three articles in Blog Project 1,2,3 of three bloggers. First article, “Mountain peak blown up to make room for huge telescope”, is in Lee HongWoo’s Blog Project 1. I chose it because I had a dream to become an astrophysicist in my childhood and still I’m interested in it. Second article, “Egyptian high school students say system is 'unfair', stage protests”, is in Yun SungMin’s Blog Project 2. Actually I have an experience that I had dissatisfaction to the method of my high school education. Third article, “Migrants From Asia to New Zealand for Better Living”, is in Lee JungSoo’s Blog Project 3. My father really want to live in New Zealand and I’ll help my father achieve his hope so I wonder why migrants from Asia can get better life. Now I’ll explain the reason why I selected these article detail and compare my thought to the three bloggers’ opinions.

First “Mountain peak blown up to make room for huge telescope” is in Lee HongWoo’s Blog Project 1 and I selected this because I was interested in cosmology and I have experience to use a big telescope in the highschool astronomical observation club. According to this article, E-ELT, the world biggest telescope, will be built on mountain peak by blowing up the Chilean Andes. In HongWoo’s blog, I could see his opinion about building it is negative. He insists there are many troubles occur by thoughtless developing and human should refrain these wrong doing. I’m also agree with him but I think building E-ELT is necessary to improve humans’ knowledge. In other words, we can find new facts for developing scientific technique. For example, we believed the light, photon, is the fastest but we found the higgs particle which is more faster than the light. Additionally though there are inhabitants it will not a big problem if we find the area that exists faint or no inhabitants. Furthermore when troubles occur in there, managers of observation can solve it and protect the high-meters environment.

Secondly “Egyptian high school students say system is 'unfair', stage protests” is in Yun SungMin’s Blog Project 2 and the reason I chose it is I was also think my high school education method that classify students with their score and teach different things is unfair. In short, this article says that Egyptian university students gathered in Cairo to protest against the unfair education to them and they insisted to ministry to accede three demands. About this situation, SungMin says he respect those students that show their demands actively and try to change the society fair. I could not agree more about his opinion because even though Korean education is common with them but students are not active for changing it. As mentioned earlier, Korean schools containing my highschool proceed level learning educations but I think it is clearly unfair because students should learn different. And what is worse Korean students don’t dissent this unfair method. Whereas Egyptian students solved it on effective means so I hope Korean students to emulate them and settle the now unfair education policy soon.

Third “Migrants From Asia to New Zealand for Better Living” is in Lee JungSoo’s Blog Project 3 and I selected it because I want to know the reason and inform the advantages which only New Zealand has to my father. In this article, Asians emigrate to New Zealand because of its free and vibrant economic system also they can live tranquil in fresh nature. And I got that JungSoo also want to live in New Zealand with his wife because of its great nature. My father told me about his future plan while watching a movie ‘The Load of The Ring.’ This movie was filmed in New Zealand and I saw the awesome background in the screen. He said he want to visit to the filming sites and I recommend these attractions to JungSoo if he go to New Zealand. Now my father retired soldier job, then built his own house among the mountains and he is farming apple but he still feel hard for his works. Thus though I can’t help him to live in New Zealand, I will certainly visit there with my parents for some days and make them enjoy the tranquil life.

In conclusion, I selected each three articles because the following reasons and each of them gave me meanings. First article was concerned with my interest and experience of astronomy also thanks to this article I could make a new plan to visit there in the future. Second article was also related with my experience and I found Egyptian students have same thought with me. Then I examined myself that not active to change the irrational society after I read this article. Subsequently I judged the third article can give me some informations about the advantages of New Zealand to achieve my father’s dream. Thanks to it I decided to find great attractions in New Zealand online and plan the traveling with parents to New Zealand about for a year. Consequently I could compare my opinion to three bloggers opinions and their articles were very useful to me.
