S : Hi! my name is Seonho Kim

 

H : And I'm Haneol Lee.

     We planned our video project to visit the famous three palaces, Changgyeonggung, Changdeokgung,

     and Gyeongbokgung.

     All this palaces were built in Joseon dynasty.

     So we will watch around this palaces, we will know more about our Korean culture.

S : This is map of Changgyeonggung

    Now, we are here, entrance of Changgyeonggung, it's called Honhwamun.

    We will go there, watch around Changgyeonggung and we will go Changdeokgung, nonstop

H : This is Changgyeonggung. See that?

     It is very wide and silent and I thik it's very gorgeous.

     Now, tell about Changgyeonggung.

     King seojong built this palace for his father, previous king, tajong. And, at that time,

     this palace's name

     was Suganggung. In other words, Changgyeonggung's original name is Suganggung.

     And next king, Seongjong, changed the name of this palace Changgyeonggung.

S : This palace is surrounded by many buildings.

    But I think, suprisingly, harmony with buildings and this palace is so wonderfull.

    Look at it! Gorgeous. Awesome.

H : See there. There are many people in there.

     It is the Korean treasure, but there are some people in there! It is not illigal

     So I think the palace is familiar with citizen very much. And I think it is good culture.

     Because we can feel the life of our ancestor in palace.

     And then, we will go to next place, Changdeokgung.

S : This is map of Changdeokgung. And we are here, and we will go along this course.

     Look at this, this is garden of Changdeokgung, named Secret Garden. This is so famous

     for beautiful view.

     But we can't go there. Because this palace close 5:30 and we don't have time

H : Now five o' clock

H : This is Injeonjeon, in Changdeokgung. it is not different so much than Changgyeonggung.

     But you can see the central building is higher than Changgyeonggung.
     Because Changdeokgung is main palace in Joseon.
     So Changdeokgung was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

S : This is Gwanghwamun and this is entrance of Gyeongbokgung.
     But we can't go in there because time's over.
     So we will go to Unhyeongung.

H : This is Unhyeongung.It was not palace, just home where king gojong stayed here before

     he became the king in joseon
     dynasty with his father,regent Heungseon.
     Here is so small place, but I think it is charming place

S : He is gojong. He is so young. And he is regent Heungseon who is king gojong's father.

    This is the moment when gojong became the king.

H&S : We finished our video project!

H : We visited Changgyeonggung, Changdeokgung and Unhyeongung.

     But we didn't go to Gyeongbokgung.
     I'm very missed it.
     I think palaces are preserved very well, and I hope that it will preserve well constantly
     So... Thank you.

S : I think it was good time because we can see very beautiful buildings.

    And we can exercise a lot because we walked very much.
